Taste of the West 2023
What a year it has been for TPP in this year’s edition of Taste of the West! We entered 5 homemade products and our farm shop and they all received gold.
With the expansion of the production kitchen, receiving this good news was very exciting. The production kitchen received gold for the sausage rolls and pasties, which is a great reflection of the hard work they put in to making sure everything is to their high standards. Now they have the belief and motivation to get bigger and better - they’ve gone from making just these, to creating pies, frittatas, fresh brioche, pastries and bread on top!
The butchery received gold for our homegrown Landue Red Ruby fillet steaks and their venison sausages. We have all sorts of flavoured sausages on offer (which some of you may have tried at our festival on 3rd June) including pork, honey & mustard, and beef & horseradish. The butchery love to be creative, and we’re so happy that they received such positive recognition.
Kathryn is an absolutely awesome baker and she totally deserves another gold award to her name! Last year her lemon & elderflower cake rocketed to top of the class, and this year it’s another for coffee & walnut. These are available as massive slices alongside all our other cakes from the restaurant, or as occasion cakes from our website.
Our farm shop has won gold for the fourth year in a row! This is obviously fantastic news and we’re so happy to see that our efforts to source locally is reflected. We received lovely comments about the team, the atmosphere and the products we have on offer. What more is there to say?
We’re so thankful for our local producers, team TPP and you, our wonderful customers for making this possible each year.
