Breakfast with Santa
A highlight of the year for us was holding our very special breakfast and afternoon tea events with Santa. These events were made possible with the support of Callington Lions Club, who have a direct line to Santa and were able to arrange for him to visit us!
During the three weeks before Christmas, Santa, in spite of a very busy schedule, managed visits to the restaurant at Tre, Pol & Pen. He chatted to youngsters and their families whilst they were having breakfast and, thanks to careful planning, children had the chance to have a photo in his sleigh while Santa looked on at a distance.
We were delighted to present £765.00, raised through donations at the special breakfasts and afternoon tea, to Callington Lions Club President Karen Toft. We are really pleased to be able to help Lions International and all the local charities and worthy causes that they support.
Karen thanked Charlotte (manager at Tre, Pol & Pen) for the very generous donation and appreciated the way Tre, Pol & Pen had carefully thought about keeping the Christmas Spirit alive in a safe and responsible way. She added the monies raised goes to support local charities, families in need and for community projects. The lions pledge that £1 in every pound donated being used for charity means that all funds are put to very good use. For more information on Lions see https://www.facebook.com/CallingtonLionsNews.
The staff at Tre, Pol and Pen took on the role of Santa’s Little Helpers, assisting Father Christmas. Seen here, as he leaves, are Steph Millington, Beth Haynes Holly Kinsey, Katie Rhodes and Sarah Skidmore.
Who knows, if we are all well behaved, Santa may even come back and visit us again next year?
